Questions
Year-end and 1099 FAQ
When are 1099-NECs due?
Form 1099-NEC is due to both the IRS and the recipient by January 31. Starting in December leaves room to chase missing W-9s.
Which subs need a 1099?
Generally, unincorporated subcontractors you paid for services above the IRS reporting threshold. Your CPA has the final say on edge cases, and we'll flag them.
Can you do year-end if my books are behind?
Yes. We quote the catch-up and year-end close together as one project.
